This week I have looked for some organic Folksy finds as it is currently Organic Fortnight.

The first organic find is this great t-shirt with a hand painted jellyfish on the front. You can get it in blue or pink from Laura Lee Designs. Unfortunately they don’t come in adult sizes.

The next item is this set of handmade, organic soaps from Spiral Moon. The soaps come in several different flavours.

This fantastic organic ‘Contented Cat’ bib is from Nell. There are some other great designs in her shop too so go and have a look!

This delicious sounding, ‘Strawberry Toffee’ organic merino yarn has been dip dyed and hand painted by Wharfedale Woolworks.

The last Folksy find for this week is this hand screen printed Kokeshi Purse from Peris & Corr. They have some lovely things in their shop so make sure that you go and have a look around.

For anybody that is wondering why Junky Chicken has gone a little quiet lately, this is all due to the owner of this tiny foot! My husband and I are now proud parents of a baby boy and have been busy enjoying him.

Junky Chicken will be reopening again soon but if you are desperate to spend money then you can always have a look in our felt shop which has been reopened today. We are offering a 10% discount on all orders placed between now and midnight on Friday.

The doodle page for day 2 of the Doodle Schmoodle challenge was ‘My Pirate Self’ so above is my doodle. I have decided that maybe I should actually be a pirate because I look pretty awesome!

I’ve decided to join in with a journal doodle challenge that is being hosted by Chantal over at Betty’s Place. I have always loved drawing and yet never seem to have the time to do any so I’m hoping that joining in with this will give me a good excuse to do a bit!

The basic idea is that every day there will be a different doodle page to print out and go wild with. The first doodle page was entitled ‘Me Me Me’ and above is the doodle that I came up with. A very pregnant me wondering when the baby is finally going to come out and meet us!

A Flickr group has been set up for the challenge so go and have a look at everybody’s doodles! Joe has also decided to join in and will be blogging his doodles too, keep an eye on him over here!

The first find for this week is this Lambswool Russian Doll Egg Cosy from Sara Carr. Sara knits all kinds of beautiful things so make sure you go and have a look round her shop.

The last find for this week is this fantastic set of Ship’s Crew Russian Dolls from Hole in my pocket. They have been hand-painted so each set is unique.

Today I finally got round to changing a few links and things on my website. I originally built it when I first thought about getting into selling things a couple of years ago and what I do has changed completely since then. (I also know a hell of a lot more about building a website now!)

I started off doing textile art pieces and using some other girls name (who’s Jenny Foreman?!) but then the first chicken was born and these proved to be much more popular than the art pieces. As in, they actually sold!

So then I became Jenny’s Textiles, a name that still insists on stubbornly hanging around in certain corners of the internet O_o I was never entirely happy about this name as it made me feel limited in what I could make and I instantly found myself wanting to make non-textile based things!

About a year ago I relaunched as Junky Chicken and so it really has taken me far too long to find the time to sort my website out a bit. A complete rebuild will hopefully be starting soon but it probably won’t be until after our tiny human has made their entrance into the world. Until then, this will  have to do! If you’d like to look around a more impressive website though you can always have a look at the one that I built for the husband! Hopefully I will be as pleased with my own site someday soon!
